This newspaper, most correctly known simply as The Times, began publication in 1785 and continues to this day.
The edition of January 29, 1834, carried a second "Newf for sale" announcement:
NEWFOUNDLAND DOG for SALE, the property of a gentleman. Price only three guineas. He is large, young, and handsome, and in good condition. Colors black and white. To be seen by applying to Mr. Bowman, baker, 45, Southampton-buildings, Chancery-lane.
