This newspaper, most correctly known simply as The Times, began publication in 1785 and continues to this day.
The edition of July 24, 1839, carried the following "found Newf" notice regarding a black dog.
FOUND, in Camden-street, Walworth, a BLACK NEWFOUNDLAND DOG. Whoever has lost it may have it by paying all expenses, and if not owned within 14 days it will be sold. Apply at the Lord Camden, Camden-street, Walworth.
