This newspaper, most correctly known simply as The Times, began publication in 1785 and continues to this day.
The edition of June 23, 1845, carried the following "lost Newf" notice — black and white coat.
TWO POUNDS REWARD. — LOST, on the morning of Thursday last, the 19th instant, from Barnsbury-square, Islington, a BLACK and WHITE YOUNG NEWFOUNDLAD DOG, answering to the name of Caesar. Whoever will bring the same to 6, Barnsbury-square, shall receive the above reward. — 6, Barnsbury-square, June 21, 1845.
