On Monday night a gang of thieves broke into the house of J. ASTHALL, Esq. at Harehatch, and stole from thence a quantity of plate, etc.. They were seen to enter by a man who resides in a neighbouring cottage, who did not suspect a robbery, until half an hour afterwards, when he hear a Newfoundland dog barking, and on running to the sport, the dog had seized one of the villains, who was secured, with a quantity of the stolen property.
