This newspaper, most correctly known simply as The Times, began publication in 1785 and continues to this day.
The December 29, 1814 edition of The Times carried the following "for sale":
A LARGE NEWFOUNDLAND BITCH to be SOLD; her dam a mastiff; her sire one of the largest Newfoundland dogs in the kingdom; she is a capital yard dog, 8 [?] years old, and fond of the water. For reference, apply at 33, Little Queen-street, Holborn.
