This newspaper, most correctly known simply as The Times, began publication in 1785 and continues to this day.
The October 31, 1833 edition of The Times carried the following "lost Newf" notice (black):
BLACK NEWFOUNDLAND DOG LOST, on Friday week; has a white mark on the chest and tail. ONE GUINEA REWARD will be paid to any person bringing it to No. 23 [?], Soho-square.
