A Chestnut Horse with a Dog in an Extensive Landscape
circle of Edmund Bristow
Is that a Landseer? Since this work has been identified as by a student or follower of Edmund Bristow (1769-1859), who is known to have painted Newfoundlands — several examples are featured here at The Cultured Newf — it's a very distinct possibility, especially given the size of the dog relative to the horse.
