Lynn Hall (b. 1937) is an American author of various sorts of works, many of them books for young readers featuring animals.
Taylor Oughton (1925 - 2018) was an American illustrator and painter whose works frequently dealt with animal and natural subjects.
Bob the Newfoundland performs water rescues in England. Since this book is part of a "Famous Animal Stories" series, I assume Bob was a real dog.
