Fairman (1839 - 1923) was an English painter, watercolorist, and illustrator, best known for her canine portraiture. Very much sought after by dog-loving aristocrats wanting paintings of their beloved pets, Fairman was often referred to as "the Lady Landseer." She spent most of her life in London.
