This image was engraved (lithograph) by Frederick Robinson and published by Thomas Varty as part of a series of prints on wild and domestic animals. Varty (fl. 1831 - 1856) was a London publisher and bookseller specialising in educational material in mid-19th Century Britain. I have not found a definitive date of publication for this work, though some evidence indicates it was 1840, with the work being reprinted and, I think, expanded for a couple of later editions in that decade.
