Wagon at the Inn (date unknown)

by
Wouterus Verschuur
Verschuur (1812-1874) was a Dutch painter, quite successful both critically and financially, noted primarily for his animal ¯ particularly equestrian — paintings and natural scenes. He painted several works featuring Newfoundlands.
This appears to be the same Landseer or Landseer mix that shows up in a handful of Verschuur paintings, and was apparently his personal pet.
